Easy Pac-Man Birthday Cake (No Fondant Needed)

If you need a fun themed birthday cake without complicated decorating, this Pac-Man cake is easy to make using basic round pans and buttercream. No fondant and no special tools needed. This simple tutorial shows how to make Pac-Man and the ghost cakes step by step

Supplies Needed

• The cake pans I used
• Cake mix or homemade cake batter
• Buttercream frosting (white)
• Knife
• The food coloring I prefer
• Googley Eyes
• Piping bag (optional but helpful)
• Cake turntable (optional but helpful
• Other Pac Man Decorations

Step 1 – Bake the cakes

Bake three round cakes using the same size pan according to box instuctions.

Let the cakes cool completely before decorating.

You will use:

• One cake for Pac-Man
• Two cakes for the ghosts

Step 2 – Make Pac-Man shape

1. Cut a triangle slice out of one round cake to make the mouth.
2. Frost the cake with yellow dyed buttercream.

Step 3 –Make the Ghost Cakes

1. Use the other two round cakes for the ghosts.
2. Frost them with your choice of dyed buttercream
3. You can make the bottom edge slightly wavy to look like the ghost shape.
4. Add googley eyes
